Ecstatic!
Well, here I am, learning some German on Rosetta Stone. Just a few minutes ago, it hit me.
I'm really going to Germany!
Ok, I've known about this for three months now, but there are moments when it really hits me. There are moments when I really grasp what is ahead of me for next year, and how I am slowly falling in love with the beautiful language of German, and how much I'm looking forward to becoming bilingual!
Can you tell I am ecstatic???
...Well, that's about all for now. Throughout the year, you may find that I will write short little passages (like today's), mainly to share my feelings about my adventure (I'm not 100% sure yet, but I will probably be writing less if I'm busy, but I'll try to write nevertheless).
Until next time - over and out!

Time is ticking!
How much faster can time get?
Nur sechzehn Tage ~ Only 16 days!
So far, I haven't started packing at all. One of these days I'm going to start shopping for the things I need...but I don't know when. I wonder when the rush will kick in? For now, the most important items on my agenda are 1) to study (and pass!) the Government test so I can get credit for the class so I can graduate after my exchange year! 2) work to make $$ that I will need next year! And 3) to learn German on Rosetta Stone so I can have a head start!
Oh! And exciting news! On Friday (the 12th) I received news that I now have a permanent host family! I will be in a village in central Germany. I have communicated a little with my host mom and one of my host sisters, and I am really excited to meet them! :) I have also communicated with my host sister in my temporary family, which will be in northwestern Germany. I'm also very excited to meet them, as well!
Well, that's all I really have to say for now. I'm not sure if I'll be writing another post until I get to Germany...we'll see. ;)
As for now - over and out!
